Dobsonian

The Dobsonian is the grandad of all light buckets.  Dobsonian telescopes have a mirror range form 6 inches to 35 inches or more!!  The Dobsonian telescope is actually a reflector with 2 mirrors.  If you want to "go deep" A Dobsonian can get you your biggest bang for the buck!  

History: The reason it is called a Dobsonian is actually because of a Sidewalk Astronomer John Dobson. Dobsonian really refers to the type of mount and has nothing to do with the optics!
