True flat-field astrograph: integrated 4-element, dual-ED optical train delivers pinpoint stars corner-to-corner with no separate flattener or reducer required
Full-frame ready: engineered for 24×36 mm sensors (and slightly larger per spot diagram) — perfect for modern FX DSLRs, mirrorless bodies, and TEC-cooled CMOS cameras
Fast F5.0 performance: 650 mm focal length gathers photons quickly, pairs beautifully with ultra-narrowband filters, and keeps on-band response even under heavy light pollution
Apochromatic color control: two ED elements tame blue halos on hot, white stars and outresolve camera lenses several times the price
Rock-solid focusing: improved dual-speed rack-and-pinion with new bearings minimizes flexure and plays nice with Altair AAF, Pegasus FocusCube, ZWO EAF, and similar motors
Tilt on tap: rear collimation/tilt screws let you chase perfect corners in real time with your imaging software as you add wheels, OAGs, and spacers
Frame it fast: 360° rotator makes composition easy without disturbing focus or backfocus spacing
Built to travel: compact footprint, top carry handle, and included 3" Losmandy-format plate keep rigs portable and stable in the field
Altair QC: each optical tube is individually spaced, collimated, and tested before shipping; backed by a 2-year return-to-base warranty
Solar safety note: for any white-light or H-alpha solar use, an appropriate Altair ERF/solar filter is mandatory
