Advantages of ED Optics: Compared to small Achromatic refractors of similar size, the Starwave 80ED offers better mechanics for easier focusing and truer color rendition thanks to the ED optics. It delivers sharp, high-contrast images with good color correction and tight star images.
Versatile Use: The Starwave 80 ED is perfect for both beginners and astrophotographers. It's easy to use, requires minimal maintenance, and fits most telescope mounts. It's also suitable for terrestrial and nautical observation with the addition of an image-erecting prism diagonal.
Mount Recommendations: Recommended mounts include the Skywatcher EQM35, EQ5, and similar capacity mounts. Contact us for specific recommendations based on your observing style.
Magnification Guide: Use the eyepiece focal length to determine magnification. For example, the Starwave ASCENT 80ED with a 560mm focal length, when used with a 24mm eyepiece, yields 23x magnification. A Barlow lens can double the magnification.
Optional Accessories: Enhance your imaging experience with optional accessories like extension tubes, reducers, filters, and auto-guiding equipment. Contact us for advice on the best accessories for your setup.
Discover the night sky and delve into astrophotography with the Altair ASCENT80mm F7ED Refractor Geared Focuser, a high-quality telescope designed to provide excellent optics and mechanical quality at an affordable price.
