Bob's Knobs for Celestron SCT 14” f/11 Metric:

Precise and Easy Collimation

  • Custom-Made for Celestron SCT 14" f/11: Specially designed for Celestron 14” (36 cm) f/11 SCT models with metric thread factory Phillips collimation screws, suitable for Fastar models and those with or without EdgeHD optics.
  • Part Information - Part: C14metphi:
    • Telescope Fit: Compatible with Celestron 14" f/11 SCTs featuring metric threaded Phillips collimation screws.
    • Knob Design: Made from black plastic, each knob is 15 mm (5/8”) in diameter, enabling effortless and accurate adjustments.
    • Thread Material: Features durable black oxide steel threads for a secure fit and long-term use.
  • Important Considerations:
    • Thread Type Identification: Refer to special notes for guidance on distinguishing between standard and metric threads.
    • Gentle Tightening Required: Due to the small size and fine threads of the collimation screws, knobs should be carefully tightened to avoid damage.
  • Factory Dust Cover and Rotary Cover:
    • Dust Cover Compatibility: Ensures the factory dust cover fits normally with Bob's Knobs installed.
    • Rotary Cover Instructions: If present, the rotary secondary cover must stay open during knob use. It's cosmetic and does not impact telescope function.
  • Knob Protrusion Caution:
    • Trifid-Style Rotary Cover: Knobs should not protrude above this cover to prevent interference with the dust cover. For better access, consider removing the vinyl escutcheon or accessing knobs from the side.
  • Enhanced Telescope Maintenance: Ideal for Celestron SCT 14” f/11 telescope owners seeking a simple, tool-free solution for precise collimation adjustments.
