Upgrade your stargazing experience with the Celestron Observer’s Accessory Kit. Housed in a foam-cushioned, plastic carrying case, this kit comes packed with the following tools:

Eyepieces: Suitable for any telescope equipped with a 1.25” focuser, the kit includes a 17mm and a 6mm Plossl eyepiece, both boasting a four-element design and a 52-degree apparent field of view. They are fully multi-coated for enhanced light transmission and optical protection. The 17mm offers moderate magnification for general viewing, while the 6mm is perfect for high-magnification observation of the Moon and planets, especially under clear skies.
2x Barlow Lens/T-Adapter: This versatile 2x Barlow lens amplifies the magnification of any 1.25” eyepiece. For example, the 17mm eyepiece becomes an 8.5mm, and the 6mm transforms into a 3mm. Experiment with different magnifications to find what works best for your observing conditions. The top of this Barlow lens is T-threaded, allowing for camera attachment via an optional T-Ring, with instructions included in the kit.
Filters: These colored filters enhance planetary and lunar details. They are compatible with any 1.25" eyepiece that has the appropriate filter threads. The #80A Blue Filter improves the visibility of Jupiter’s cloud bands and Saturn’s ice caps, while the #25 Red Filter is excellent for observing Mars' polar caps and enhancing features on Jupiter. However, keep in mind that the #25 Red Filter is best suited for larger-aperture telescopes as it reduces light throughput. The Moon Filter helps to dim the Moon’s brightness, making lunar details more apparent, and can even be used to observe Venus’ phases.
Cleaning Cloth & Case: The kit includes a microfiber cloth for safely cleaning optics without leaving residues. Always remember to remove dust before using the cloth. The custom-designed foam interior of the black plastic case ensures your accessories stay protected and organized. The case has extra room to accommodate additional items as well.
