Its housing is meticulously machined to ensure that the optical components remain in perfect alignment. For assurance in quality, the diagonal’s mirror undergoes interferometric testing and is guaranteed to have at least a 1/10 wave rating or better. To enhance image sharpness and brightness, the mirror is coated with Celestron’s top-tier XLT coatings—the same ones found on their premium telescopes.

If you own a standard Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope, this 2” diagonal will thread securely onto its rear cell. For maximizing light capture, simply pop a 2” eyepiece into the diagonal's barrel. If your setup includes 1.25” eyepieces, don’t worry; the diagonal comes with a 2” to 1.25” adapter that can be secured with a thumbscrew. And for times when you’re not out admiring the cosmos, the diagonal can be safely stored in its provided aluminum case.
