Celestron Oxygen III Narrowband Filter - 2"

The Celestron Oxygen III Narrowband Filter - 2" is an essential accessory for astronomers and astrophotographers. Specifically designed to isolate the two doubly-ionized oxygen lines (496 and 501 nm lines) found in planetary and emission nebulae, this filter blocks other parts of the light spectrum. This selective filtering results in a dramatic contrast between the dark sky background and the subtle OIII light, enhancing the visibility and detail of nebulae such as the Veil, Ring, Dumbbell, Crescent, and Orion.

Each filter features a state-of-the-art, ultra-hard, vacuum-deposited coating. This advanced coating is meticulously crafted to block the entire visual spectrum ranging from 400 to 700nm, effectively eliminating the unnatural colored halos around bright stars often seen with less sophisticated OIII filters.

The Celestron 2" Oxygen III Narrowband Filter is perfect for those seeking to observe and photograph the intricate details of nebulae, providing an enhanced and more detailed viewing experience.
