Description
  • CALCIUM H-line QUARK: Experience the thrill of solar observation with the Daystar Filters CALCIUM H-line QUARK, bringing the simplicity and enjoyment of the Original Quark to Calcium H-Line viewing.

  • Optical Excellence: Designed for use on refractors with F/7 or longer focal ratios, this all-in-one assembly seamlessly combines top-quality components, including adapters, snouts, and the Daystar calcium filter, offering high-performance optics at an affordable price.

  • H-line vs. K-line: Discover the similarities between Calcium H-line and K-line solar views. While CCD camera users often opt for the K-Line, the Calcium K-line filters may exclude older astronomers from enjoying lower-wavelength solar observations. Daystar Filters offers higher-wavelength Calcium H-line filters for visual observers, ensuring that most enthusiasts can savor the beauty of Calcium solar imaging.

  • User-Friendly Setup: Worried about configurations? Rest easy! For refractors with F/7 or longer focal ratios, simply insert the CALCIUM QUARK into your diagonal, add an eyepiece, and start viewing. Short focal ratio refractors may benefit from a 2x or 2.5x Powermate for optimal performance.

  • Optimized Bandpass: The exact filter bandpass may vary depending on your telescope application, but it's typically around 5Å. Say goodbye to the need for additional adapters, as this fully optimized design combines everything into one lightweight eyepiece-sized device.

  • Compact and Efficient: The new, compact design reduces unnecessary components, weight, and associated costs while also lowering power consumption. The Quark can now operate all day off a small, palm-sized optional battery pack.

  • Safety and Compatibility: Note that the CALCIUM QUARK is not compatible with red or yellow glass ERFs. To ensure safety, it's recommended for use with a UV/IR cut filter. Users must also purchase an Energy Rejection Filter specific to their telescope for secure operation. The Calcium Quark cannot be used with front mount ERFs.

  • Enhanced Imaging: Featuring baffles for increased contrast and AR coatings optimized for the 397nm wavelength, this filter offers excellent performance.

  • Easy Integration: With a 1.25" eyepiece snout and safety indent slot, integration into your diagonal or focuser is a breeze. The filter has a standard 1.25" eyepiece drawtube output, with optional 2" accessories available.

  • Convenient Power: Utilizing USB power (5V 1.5A), the CALCIUM QUARK includes a 90-240VAC wall adapter with international plug adapters. An optional 8-hour battery pack is also available for added convenience.

  • Versatile Compatibility: The integrated 25mm blocking filter with a 21mm clear filter aperture ensures versatility, making it suitable for a wide range of refractors. It delivers the best performance with F/7 - F/30 refractors at full aperture, offering full disk viewing on refractors up to approximately ~1800mm focal length.

  • Limitless Views: Say goodbye to aperture limitations; the CALCIUM QUARK may also be used on larger refractors for higher magnification views.

  • Secure Storage: Your CALCIUM QUARK arrives in a convenient Twist-Case, ensuring safe and dust-free storage when not in use.
