Gemini Focusing Rotator with 120mm Opening: Enhanced Light and Load Handling

Key Features:

• Large Aperture Design: This special variant of the Gemini Focusing Rotator boasts a substantial 120mm (4.72”) opening, surpassing the original Gemini 96mm model in light throughput and load capacity.

• Innovative Engineering: Optec's engineers have uniquely merged the functions of telescope focusing and camera rotation into one robust and compact unit, moving away from the traditional approach of adding a rotator to a focuser drawtube.

• Robust Construction for Heavy Payloads: Designed with a rotating drawtube from the start, the Gemini provides exceptional strength and rigidity, capable of supporting heavy camera payloads up to 10 kg (22 lbs) without flexure.

• Precision Movement: Equipped with four lead-screws and four linear bearings, it allows full 360-degree rotation and 1/2" of linear travel, offering versatile positioning options.

• Ultra-Thin Profile: At its central travel point, Gemini maintains a remarkably slim profile, measuring only 2.45" in thickness.

• Automatic Temperature Compensation: Includes a remote temperature probe for automatic focus adjustment based on OTA temperature changes, ensuring consistently sharp images.

• User-Friendly Software: Gemini Commander software features a convenient wizard to help determine the telescope's temperature coefficient (TC) for optimal focus adjustments.

• Stable and Flat Base: Constructed with two parallel MIC-6 tool plates, the Gemini ensures a flat, rigid base with flatness within 0.001" (25 microns), ideal for heavy camera setups.

• Precision Movement Mechanism: Utilizes a premium timing belt driven by a high-torque stepper motor for precise and smooth linear travel of the rotating drawtube.

• Aesthetic Design: The focuser is accented with an elegant carbon fiber wrap, adding to its visual appeal.

• Advanced Connectivity: Features dual RJ45 connectors for seamless connection to the Gemini Control hub and a custom X-cage bearing system with large 6mm chrome ball bearings for independent drawtube rotation.
