Optec Inc. Libra Alt-Azimuth Adjusting Base: Simplifying Telescope Alignment

Eases Telescope Alignment: Designed to simplify the alignment of co-axial telescopes, addressing the challenges of traditional scope ring adjustments.

Simple Installation: Utilizes a pair of clamps for attaching the female dovetail receiver to a male D-plate, compatible with any "D" style dovetail bar.

Altitude and Azimuth Adjustments: Features larger knobs for fine-tuning altitude and azimuth adjustments, enhancing the precision of alignment.

Secure Locking Mechanism: Includes a locking thumb nut that secures the adjustment shaft, ensuring stability and ease of "no tools" installation.

Standardized Dovetail Compatibility: Adheres to the widely recognized "D" dovetail specification, ensuring compatibility with a range of astronomy equipment.

Accurate Dovetail Measurement: Proposes a specific dovetail profile measured using the standard MOW ("measure over wires") technique for optimal fit.

Ideal Nominal MOW Specification: Suggests an ideal nominal MOW of 3.200" +/- 0.020", accommodating a 1mm variance on the male dovetail for universal fit.

Versatile for Various Manufacturers: Compatible with dovetail plates from numerous manufacturers, fitting within the proposed tolerance range.

Enhanced Stability in Telescope Setup: Prevents misalignment caused by bumps or movements, maintaining the desired orientation during observations.

Professional Grade Tool: Suitable for both amateur and professional astronomers who seek a reliable, user-friendly solution for aligning their telescopes.
