Optec ThirdLynx DirectSync SSX35 Focus Motor

• Focus control with no extra box. The DirectSync SSX35 packs the ThirdLynx control circuit into the focus motor’s end cap, so you don’t need a separate external controller on the scope.
• Built for the Sharpstar 3.4-inch focusers. Optec developed this motor specifically for the Sharpstar 3.4-inch series, so it’s a natural fit for that focuser family.
• Fits a lineup of popular astrographs. The SSX35 works with the Askar 107PHQ, Askar 130PHQ, Askar FRA500, Askar SQA130, ZWO FF107 APO, ZWO FF130 APO, and the William Optics R&P 33 focuser.
• The clutch you can count on. Like all of Optec’s add-on focus motors, the SSX35 uses the Best-In-Class clutch mechanism, so you can still focus by hand when you want to.
• Fine, repeatable focus. With a step resolution of 1.1 microns per step, a bipolar stepper motor, and a 1:25 gearhead, you can dial in focus with real precision on long imaging nights.
• Plays nicely with your software. The motor connects over USB and is fully compatible with the FocusLynx software you already use.
• Ready for dual-focus rigs. ThirdLynx controllers work with FocusLynx dual-focus control hubs, including the FTX40, which brings compatibility with ASCOM, X2, and INDI software.
• Temperature-aware. An embedded Analog Devices ADT7302 temperature sensor helps keep track of conditions as the night changes.
• Light and compact. At 6.0 oz (165 g) with a 1.9-inch (48 mm) housing and an overall length of 3.55 inches (90 mm), it adds very little weight to your focuser.
• Easy power. It runs on 12V DC through a 2.5 x 5.5 mm plug, drawing about 350 mA at maximum, so a standard power supply keeps it humming.
