Sky-Watcher

SynLink Universal Astroimaging Controller

• One box replaces the whole stack. The SynLink Universal Astroimaging Controller takes over the jobs of the mini PC, the USB hub, and the power distribution box. It mounts right on your rig, so the tangle of cables between your telescope and your images gets much shorter.
• Brings your gear along, whatever the brand. SynLink isn't limited to Sky-Watcher equipment. It supports cameras, mounts, focusers, filter wheels, rotators, and flat panels from many popular brands, and it recognizes most devices automatically when you plug them in.
• Plenty of USB for a full imaging train. Four USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, and a USB-C port give your main camera, guide camera, focuser, filter wheel, and other accessories a port of their own.
• Power where your rig needs it. Four 2.1 mm DC outputs deliver 5A each, up to 10A total, fed by two 2.1 mm DC inputs. Your cameras, focusers, and accessories all draw from one source on the mount.
• Dew control built in. Two independently controlled dew heater channels keep your optics clear on damp nights without a separate dew controller.
• Direct connection to Sky-Watcher mounts. A dedicated serial port and the included cable connect straight to supported Sky-Watcher EQ mounts, with no extra adapters to chase down.
• Strong wireless link. Dual-band 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi with an external antenna keeps the controller connected from the backyard to the far end of the observing field.
• Room for the whole night's data. 64 GB of onboard storage holds your subs, with support for external storage when a long night produces a lot of data.
• One app for every device. The free SynLink app runs on Android, iOS, macOS, and Windows, so you can control a session from a phone, tablet, laptop, or desktop.
• Polar alignment step by step. Guided polar alignment walks you through slewing, plate solving, and correction, so you get accurate alignment without guessing.
• The essentials, built in. Autofocus, multi-star guiding, and plate-solved GoTo are all built into the app. Pick targets by catalog, from tonight's best list, or by panning the interactive sky map with nebula catalog overlays turned on.
• Unattended imaging you can trust. Easy mode builds a night from exposure, gain, and frame count, while Pro mode opens advanced scripting. Add dithering, autofocus triggers, cloud recovery, and meridian flip handling, then have SynLink park your gear and shut down when the sequence finishes.
• Check in from anywhere. Built-in remote access lets you monitor your session over the internet, whether you're inside the house or away for the evening.
• Mounts the way you want. The included dovetail mounting foot attaches to the side or bottom of the unit, and M4 and 1/4"-20 holes give you more mounting options.
• Small, light, and ready for the field. At just 9 oz, SynLink adds almost no weight to your payload and operates from 14°F to 104°F (-10°C to 40°C).
• Ready for what's next. A dedicated sensor port is reserved for future sensor accessories.
• Price: $599.00 (SKU S30125). Power supply sold separately.
