Warp Astron WarpDrive WD-17s: Precision

• Innovative Technology: The WD-17s, part of the first generation of harmonic drive mounts utilizing Servo Direct Drive, features a single-stage reducer. This design minimizes backlash and transmission errors commonly found in belt/planetary gear setups, providing unparalleled precision in guiding performance.

• Optimized Design: Built with a Type 17 SWR (strain wave reducer), the WD-17s offers the same load capacity as traditional harmonic drive mounts but with a significant reduction in weight, tipping the scales at just 3.8kg. It supports both Vixen and Losmandy dovetail systems, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of equipment.

• Enhanced Polar Alignment: The mount's base has been optimized for ease of use, featuring CNC-machined fine tooth screws and a gap control design for smooth and precise polar alignment adjustments.

• Durable and Low Temperature Operation: Engineered for operation in environments as cold as -25℃, the WD-17s includes a powerful direct drive and a special heating design to ensure reliable performance in harsh conditions.

• High Precision Tracking: Equipped with a high-precision encoder, the WD-17s exceeds the positioning accuracy of typical stepper motor mounts, ensuring exceptional guiding accuracy.

• GPS Integration: A built-in GPS/Beidou positioning module simplifies the synchronization of time and location with astronomy software like NINA, enhancing outdoor operational convenience.

• Maintenance-Free: The servo motor design eliminates common issues such as belt tension adjustments due to aging, offering a consistently powerful and reliable drive with minimal maintenance requirements.
